The organization was established in 2013 with the aim of supporting communities to live a dignified, healthy, and productive life socio-economically empowered to innovatively meet and demand for their basic needs and rights.
BTF targets the vulnerable population of Nyamira composed of women and youth exposed to violence and exclusion, Persons living with HIV/AIDS, adolescents with reproductive health challenges, uneconomically empowered youth. BTF currently implements HER future program that targets 100 young women in Nyamira North District by equipping them with essential skills, knowledge and resources to navigate their futures confidently and independently.

Mental Health Awareness
Peer Support Networks
Establish peer support groups to provide ongoing emotional support and create safe spaces for open discussions about mental health.
These groups will serve as safe spaces to promote open and honest discussions about mental health, provide mutual encouragement, and offer emotional support. By building these connections, participants can gain valuable insights, coping strategies, and a sense of empowerment, ultimately contributing to their overall well-being and resilience.

Prevention Against Gender-Based Violence (GBV)
Training programs
Offer training for young women on recognizing, reporting, and preventing GBV, including self-defense and assertiveness workshops.
Community outreach
Raise awareness and advocate for policies that address GBV. This can be through drama, poetry, spoken words etc
